50 Cent Ponders Before I Self Destruct As Last Album, Compares To Jay-Z
In an interview with King Magazine, Queens rapper 50 Cent revealed that Before I Self Destruct may in fact be his last studio album.
"It could very well be my last studio album if it doesn't make sense for me to continue and actually do it," 50 Cent told King magazine.
Aside from Before I Self Destruct, which will be released next month, 50 Cent also plans on releasing a Greatest Hits album. The release of a Greatest Hits album would complete 50 Cent's five-album contract.
In the interview, Fif also compares himself to fellow rapper-turned-entrepreneur Jay-Z concentrating on the age difference between the two.
"I believe that I will have a stronger position as we move forward," 50 Cent explained. "What I have on my side is age. In the next five years, they'll be 45 and 44 years old and I'll just be close to where they are now…He's married, he's getting ready to be 40. He's in a different place, he might not even want to run around, and even touring might be out of the question."
After several pushback's Before I Self Destruct, 50 Cent's fourth studio album, is expected to be released on March 24.
Fans can expect a more ominous side of 50 Cent with this upcoming album. In an interview with MTV, he described Before I Self Destruct as being "darker" and more "aggressive" than his previous albums.
T.I. Announces Mini Tour In Final Days As Free Man
T.I. will not be catching up on rest, or spending too much time at home in lieu of his looming incarceration rather the Grammy-winning rapper will be hitting the road.
Tip sets to put on a 12 stop mini tour before he enters prison next month. He will be promoting his recent album Paper Trail up until the last minute while simultaneously working on a follow up record during the tour.
The tour started up last night in St. Louis, Missouri by T.I. surprising fans who thought his one year prison sentence for felony weapons possession would move him out of the limelight. The tour spans one month and closes up in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 15.

Rihanna Breaks Her Silence,TMZ Releases Leaked Photo
On Friday (February 20), Rihanna made her first public statement since her alleged altercation with Chris Brown.
"At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown," reads a statement from her representatives. "She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time."
The statement comes after a photo, apparently showing the singer shortly after the alleged altercation, was published by TMZ on Thursday night. The photo, evidently leaked by a source within the Los Angeles Police Department, prompted an internal investigation by the LAPD.
The timing of the leak is especially unfortunate, since Friday is Rihanna's 21st birthday.
Also on Friday, People.com and OK! magazine's Web site published a photo of the singer in a car in Los Angeles on Thursday night, reportedly on her way to an airport.
A week after the alleged incident, Brown released a statement, saying he was "sorry and saddened ... over what transpired" and was "seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones, and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person.
"Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong," Brown's statement continued. "While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say."
Rihanna's father spoke with media outlets about the photo leak on Friday, calling it "sloppy work on [the LAPD's] part."

Lil Wayne Announces New Tour Dates, Pushes Back Rebirth
Lil Wayne has pushed back the release date of his rock-and-roll LP Rebirth from April 7 to May 19. The video for the album's first single, "Prom Queen," however, has been shot and should be released soon.
After the New Orleans Fireman racked up at the Grammy Awards two weeks ago, winning four trophies, including Rap Album of the Year, he has some unfinished business onstage, so he's taking his I Am Music tour back on the road. Most of the supporting cast from the first trek — T-Pain, Keri Hilson, Gym Class Heroes and Gorrilla Zoe — are coming back too. Keyshia Cole won't be returning.
In addition to Rebirth, Wayne is still working on Tha Carter IV, the Hot Boys reunion LP and an album featuring all the artists on his Young Money label, including Mack Maine, Jae Millz, Kid Kid and Nicki Minaj.
Wayne and friends start touring again March 17 in Providence, Rhode Island, and finally end on March 31 in Salt Lake City.
